Azerbaijani, Lithuanian Health Ministries sign agreement on cooperation

Azerbaijani Health Minister Ogtay Shiraliyev has met with his Lithuanian counterpart Raimondas Sukis on the sidelines of the 61st session of the World Health Organization`s Regional Committee for Europe.

The parties signed an agreement on cooperation in health and medical science. Speaking in the meeting, the Azerbaijani minister noted the agreement would be ‘useful’ for both sides. He also said that the agreement reflects various issues, including information and expert exchange, reforms, medical insurance, joint organization of trainings for doctors and others.

Shiraliyev also met with Minister of Health Vasiliy Zharko of Belarus and Russian Deputy Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova. Cooperation in health and medical spheres was discussed during the meetings.
