Catastrophic fire blazes up in Azerbaijan’s Ismayilli region

A catastrophic fire blazed up in the mountainous area of Azerbaijan’s Ismayilli region.

Firefighters and vehicles of the firefighting departments of Ismayilli, Agsu, Goychay and Kurdamir regions were sent to Ismayilli’s Geraybeyli, mountainous village covered by the fire.

The firefighters also use helicopters. Three hectares of green area throughout the banks of Girdiman River burnt out. The mountainous conditions complicate extinguishing the fire.
