Expenditures of State Support Fund for Mass Media Development amount to AZN 2 406 464 in 2011

The Cabinet of Ministers ratified the “2011 estimated charges for State Support Fund for Mass Media Development under the President of Azerbaijan”, the Cabinet of Ministers said.

The fund’s total expenditures are ratified as AZN 2 406 464. AZN 397 202 are considered for Fund’s maintenance expenses.

AZN 301 918 from the total amount will be spent for purchase of inventories and equipments for the Fund, establishment of printed publications, issue of special bulletins, organizing the conferences, symposiums and forums. AZN 1 300 000 will be spent for the purpose of supporting the mass medias in Azerbaijan, creating the condition to advanced vocational training of the journalists, determination of projects, programs and other events for strengthening their social protection.

According to the paragraph 1.1 of the decree ¹ 114 issued by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on June 24, 2009 on “Improvement of financing mechanism of several mass media publications from the state budget”, it is considered to give an allocation in the amount of AZN 709 262 to the editorial offices of “Azerbaijan”, “Goyerchin”, “Gobustan”, “Literaturniy Azerbaidjan”, “Ulduz” magazines and “Adabiyyat”, “Savalan”.
