Chairman of State Commission: Doctors and teachers will fall under special class of civil service in Azerbaijan

“Doctors and teachers will fall under the special class of the civil service in Azerbaijan,” chairman of the Commission for Civil Service Issues under President of Azerbaijan Republic Bahram Khallilov told journalists.

He said that normative legal base is being worked out in connection with this. “They will not have the statuses determined by the law “On civil service”. They will have special status like the employees of the law-enforcement bodies,” he said.

Bahram Khalilov said it has not been decided whether doctors and teachers will be employed by special commission or not. He noted that the law on “Civil service” is applicable to 30,000 civil servants in Azerbaijan.

“Reforms are being carried out in this sphere, like in other spheres,” he said.
