Health Minister: Azerbaijan to adjust civil servant laws

A system will be required to enforce the law "On Civil Servants", the Minister of Health Ogtay Shiraliyev said today.

"The mechanism will be prepared in the near future. There are specialists who are over 65 years old in the health field. Some of them are highly skilled specialists who work very well. They will be permitted to continue working in their profession." he said.

Shiraliyev stresses that relevant documents should be prepared and appropriate orders given by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and the Justice Ministry for changes to be implemented.

Public health workers will also gradually receive civil-servant status, he said.
