Fatal road accident in Azerbaijan’s Shamakhi region: two killed, five injured

Two cars collided on Baku-Shamakhi-Yevlakh highway killing two and injuring five people.

The accident took place at about 07.00 Saturday morning in the territory of Shamaki region, senior investigator of traffic police office Rafig Hasanov said.

VAz 2107 driven by resident of Goychay region of Azerbaijan Babayev Vugar, 46 collided with Hyundai Accent driven by resident of Baku Valery Aliyev. Passengers of VAZ 2107 – resident of Goychay region Kazimov Chingiz Kazim, 53 and his son Alid, 26 died at site. Both drivers and passengers of Hyundai Accent – residents of Baku Renat Bagaudinov and Mamed Mamedkhanov were injured and hospitalized.

The traffic police office launched criminal investigation, which is underway now.
