Azerbaijan prepares new law on preventing violence against kids

Azerbaijan has prepared a new bill on preventing violence against kids, MP Gular Ahmadova said.

"The bill on preventing violence can be brought up for discussion at the autumn parliamentary session," she said.

There are a lot of weak moments in the law on Domestic violence, she said. This can not be called shortages. But it is sometimes impossible to apply the law in case of domestic violence.

"We previously severely criticized these moments in the law," she said. "But my male colleagues thought that including hard law provisions in the law can strike on family relations."
