Azerbaijan to increase funds on education

Funds allocated from the state budget on education in Azerbaijan will increase by 61.3 million manat (4,6 percent). They will be brought to 1.4 billion manat, according to a recent bill.

The bill on amendments states that the costs associated with wages in education, the improvement of the pension system and financing of other social measures will be increased by 58 million manat, the costs associated with using new tariffs for public utilities, communications and other services - by 3,3 million manat, the costs associated with using a new funding mechanism of higher education institutions will be increased by 7.6 million manat.

The bill will be submitted for discussion at the plenary session of parliament on May 27.
