Former executive director of football club commits suicide in Azerbaijan

A suicide took place in Baku’s Nizami District, District Prosecutor’s Office said.

According to the information, former executive director of Tovuz’s "Turan" football club Arif Zeynalov has hanged himself today in the morning at Nakhchivanski street house 57. The reasons of suicide are unknown.

Brother of the deceased, football veteran Rasim Zeynalov confirmed his brother’s death to APA but had not wanted to speak about it.

The criminal case has been launched on the fact by Nizami District Prosecutor’s Office, the investigation is underway.

Zeynalov worked at the post of executive director of “Turan” in 1996-1998.
