Disruptions in the Azerbaijani CATEL communications operator’s network are of a technical nature, Deputy Communications and IT Minister Elmir Velizade said on Tuesday.
Velizade said the company today is doing everything possible to resolve the problem and restart the network in the former regime.
CATEL told Trend that its professionals are engaged in organizing troubleshooting. However, the organization found it difficult to say when the network would be fixed.
The company’s distributors said the work will continue by late April and the network will work as usual since early May.
A hardware failure is named as cause of the problem.
CATEL has recorded problems from April1, which led to the shutdown of a network of subscribers, operating in the CDMA standard (with index numbers 417, 418 and 415, as well as the number of mobile network Fonex, starting with the zoning code 040).
The total number of CATEL subscribers is about 70,000, of which about 60,000 are subscribers of wireless communication standard CDMA.
