Divorces increase more quickly than marriages in Azerbaijan

In January-March, divorces exceeded the marriages by 6.8 times, in Azerbaijan, said the State Statistical Committee.

According to the committee, state bodies recorded 15 700 marriages and 2 300 divorces in the country. 7.1 marriages and 1 divorce recorded for each 1000 persons.

In general, number of marriages rose 10.6%, divorces – 21.1% in January-March, 2011, compared to the last year.
