Traffic to Icheri Sheher to be limited for a long period of time

The Office of the State Historical-Architectural Reserve "Icheri Sheher" under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan Republic addressed Baku citizens.

"In recent years, the scope of restoration and landscaping works held in Icheri Sheher was expanded. The work carried out in order to preserve the historical heritage of Icheri Sheher (ancient part of Baku) highly emphasizes the significance of cultural objects and historical buildings in this reserve. Thus, the area from "Meridian" hotel to Kichik Karvansara will be closed due to the overhauling of the road and communication lines which will cause the traffic in this direction to be limited for up to two months. Therefore, we ask you to use Kichik Gala Street instead. We offer our apologies to residents and visiting guests for temporary inconvenience", the Office said.
