Quake hits Azerbaijan

A quake hit Gabala region of Azerbaijan at 14.54 on Monday, 17 km south-west from Gabala region, the Republican Seismological Service of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences told APA.

The 4-magnitude (on 12 magnitude scale) quake was felt in the epicenter, 3-4 magnitude aftershocks were felt in the residential areas (Oguz, Gabala, Agdash) near the quake epicenter.

The 4.70-magnitude quake took place at 41 km depth.
