Azerbaijan Railways: Price rise will boost service level

The revenues that will be earned from the application of new tariffs in passenger transportation services from February 1, will encourage development in this sphere.

According to Azerbaijan Railways, the cost of service offered to passengers and otger similar  expenditures exceed the income roughly by 7-8 times.

"This does not allow to survie competition in domestic transport," the company said.

The income will be directed to apply the automatized ticket sale and to bing the service level into conformity with international standards.
