
A spectacular full-length ballet, "One Thousand and One Nights" by outstanding Azerbaijani composer Fikret Amirov, will be staged at State Kremlin Palace, Moscow on February 7.
Best soloists of the theater's company will star in the performance.
"One Thousand and One Nights" relates the tale of Scheherazade, a mysterious young woman who wins her life and the heart of a Persian sultan with her irresistible stories.
Choreographed by internationally renowned Andrey Petrov, the colorful ballet features extraordinary set design by Tahir Salakhov and beautiful costumes by Olga Polanskaya.
The ballet "One Thousand and One Nights" was first staged at the Baku Opera and Ballet Theatre in 1979. This ballet was performed often and successfully beyond Amirov's native Azerbaijan.
