Governmental task force set up to eliminate consequences of Kura and Araz rivers overflow convened

The Government task force set up under the order of Azerbaijani President to eliminate consequences of natural disaster caused by the flooding in the Kura and Araz rivers has held its first meeting today.

The ways to eliminate the consequences of the natural disaster were discussed at the meeting of the commission chaired by Prime Minister Artur Rasizadeh, said president of Melioration and Water Economy Ahmad Ahmadzadeh, APA’s Mil-Mughan bureau reports.

He said instructions were given to take large-scaled measures to eliminate he consequences of the natural disaster.

“We are thinking on reducing the water of the Araz River or separating it from the Kur,” he said.
