
The people of Allahmededli and Talishli villages of Azerbaijan’s Imishli region have been evacuated due to rise of water level in the Kura River, deputy head of Imishli executive power, chairman of the region’s emergency commission Safa Agayev said.
According to him, the evacuation of the people of Allahmededli and Telishli villages has completed.
“We are the last to leave the villages,” he said.
Allahmededli and Talishli villages of Imishli region are situated near Sarisu Lake and Kura River. Though the villages have not been flooded, the related bodies considered it expedient to evacuate the people for safety reasons.
