People evacuated to tents from disaster area face threat of infectious diseases in Azerbaijan

Tent camps have been erected in Shirvan region for people evacuated from the flood-hit areas in Sabirabad region. About 800 Sabirabad residents have applied for medical aid so far, head of the medical aid post Mehpara Samadova said.

She said there is no acute infectious epidemiological process in tents. But four children who showed signs of a disease were immediately hospitalized in the Shirvan hospital. Most people complain about the pressure and stress. They are immediately provided with necessary assistance.

Women who complain of gynecological problems consult doctors in Shirvan hospital. Samadova also rejected new that three residents of the tents had a snake bite.
