
A solemn reception devoted to the 87th anniversary of the date of birth of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, outstanding statesman and politician Heydar Aliyev took place on May 10 at the Embassy of the Azerbaijan Republic in the Russian Federation.
The action was attended by officials of Russia, employees of representation of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the Russian Federation, representatives of the Society of Friendship with Azerbaijan, ambassadors of some states, rectors of higher schools, veterans of war, and also members of the Azerbaijan Diaspora.
Participants of action laid flowers to a bas-relief of the national leader of Azerbaijan in the embassy building.
The ambassador of Azerbaijan in the Russian Federation Polad Bulbuloglu told about Heydar Aliyev`s personality, his outstanding role in establishment and strengthening of the sovereign Azerbaijan state which thanks to indefatigable activity of the national leader has taken a worthy place on international arena.
According to the diplomat, having headed during heavy time the country which was on the verge of ruin and civil war, the outstanding politician could restore Azerbaijan. “Heydar Aliyev is the unconditional architect of the independent Azerbaijan” he stressed.
He also told about the role of the great leader in development and strengthening of the Russian-Azerbaijan relations.
The CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev, public figure Ramazan Abdulatipov, the member of Federation of the Russian Federation Alexander Dzasokhov, the former chairman of Constitutional Court Marat Baglay and others shared warm memoirs on the outstanding politician of the XX century.
They noticed that the great leader with all the heart supported the people and the country, was a political teacher, wise instructor and a remarkable person.
The speakers especially underlined that the worthy successor of Heydar Aliyev is the incumbent President of the country Ilham Aliyev. Grandiose successes of Azerbaijan on international arena and in the country, its dynamical social and economic development are the best evidence to that.
