Azerbaijani medical delegation visits Ankara University

The delegation of the Azerbaijan Special Medical Service led by its chief, academician Jamil Aliyev visited the University of Ankara here where they met with rector of the university Camal Talug.

Talug briefed Azerbaijan's medical delegation on the university's activity.

Jamil Aliyev told of the progress achieved in the field of healthcare in Azerbaijan, saying President Ilham Aliyev pays special attention to providing medical centers with modern equipment.

He noted the training center is to be set up in Baku because there is the need in specialists who will be able to use this equipment, adding cooperation with the University of Ankara would be effective to the effect.

Jamil Aliyev presented to the rector a book titled “Karabakh: truths, facts” published by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

For his part, Talug gave the university`s keepsake to the academician. The delegation also visited the faculty of medicine.

Jamil Aliyev met with Azerbaijani students studying at the faculty. He said Azerbaijan needs highly-qualified specialists.

The Azerbaijan delegation met with chairman of the Turkish Higher Education Council Yusif Ziya Ozcan.

Aliyev thanked Ozcan for the conditions created for Azerbaijani students.

The academician told of establishment of the genetic lab at the Central Clinic in Baku. The Turkish specialists assured they would provide assistance to Azerbaijan to create such a lab.
