Elshan Eyvazov, security guard of the building, where assassinated Air Force and Air Defense Commander Lieutenant-General Rail Rzayev lived, went on trial on Jan. 28.

The court will continue judicial survey on Jan. 29.
Eyvazov was arrested on Feb. 17, six days after the Rail Rzayev’s assassination.
He was interrogated at the Investigative Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office and faced with charges under article 234.1 (illegal purchasing and storage of narcotic drugs without plans of sale).
Eyvazov’s wife Saadat Gasimzade held a press conference on Thursday.
Air Force and Air Defense Commander Lieutenant-General Rail Rzayev was assassinated on February 11, 2009 outside his apartment.
