Rules of conscription changed in Azerbaijan

The rules of conscription have changed in Azerbaijan.
Commenting on the necessity of changes spokesman for Defense Ministry, Lieutenant-Colonel Eldar Sabiroglu told APA that the main aim was to achieve proper execution of the president’s decrees on conscription.

“It is natural to make some improvements in order to increase efficiency. The aim is the proper execution of the president’s decrees on conscription. Defense Ministry does its best to implement the demands of the decrees perfectly and prevent faults in the recruitment. We believe that we will achieve positive results in this process,” he said.

The spokesman said concerns of parents over the fate of their children during the conscription had been taken into consideration. Sabiroglu said Hotline was established in the Organization Mobilization Department under Defense Ministry’s Headquarters. Through this line parents will be able to learn in which military unit their children will serve beforehand.

Eldar Sabiroglu underlined that it was possible to phone the Hotline (438 61 10, 439 55 14, 439 23 55, 439 90 28) anytime.
