Arif Aliyev: "2008 is lost for Azerbaijani journalism"

"For example, today we can recall 1998 as a year of elimination of censorship in Azerbaijan and we will remember it for many years. Yet 2008 is not marked with anything special for journalists", said Aliyev.

He noted that in 2008 Azerbaijani journalists did not manage to settle a single problem.

"I can say that this year is lost for journalism and processes, which can make "diseases" in our sphere chronic have occurred. The events that hindered the implementation of desired reforms occurred this year", considers Aliyev.
