Day.Az reports with reference to the Institute for Reporters Freedom and Security that the due information was provided by Zahid's wife Ayanda Mursaliyeva.
He said Zahid does not complain about the detainment conditions or health.
"He is anxious that he is not provided with newspapers. During the detainment in Baku investigation ward No 1 he was provided with newspapers and here he is not", noted the reporters' wife.
It should be noted that on March 7 the Yasamal district court of Baku chaired by judge Sudaba Mamedova passed a verdict regarding editor-in-chief of Azadlyg opposition daily Qanimat Zahid and Baku resident Vusal Hasanov, participating in the fight.
In line with the verdict, Qanimat Zahid was sentenced to four years of imprisonment and Vusal Hasanov to 1.5 years. The Baku Appellate Court upheld the decision of the first instance court.
