Alovsat Aliyev: "The obvious violation of the rights of Azerbaijanis, residing in Iran, is because Iran is ruled by mullocratic regime"

-Mister Aliyev, how would you comment on the information that three students of the Sahand Technical University in Tebriz were raped by officers of the Ettelaat Harasan (Security) department?

-This is shocking information, which is a bright demonstration of destructive activity, carried out in Iran towards the Azerbaijanis, residing there.

In this sense, it should be reminded that we have repeatedly raised issues, connected with the total neglect of the rights of our compatriots in Iran and announced that our compatriots, sent from Azerbaijan to this country, fall victims of human trafficking and violence. All these facts show that Iran discriminates the ethnic minorities, especially Azerbaijanis.

I think, official Baku should be consistent and tough in defending the rights of our compatriots, residing in Iran. In particular, our official structures should respond to the shocking information from Tebriz.

-But what about the announcement of the representative of the State Committee for work with Azerbaijanis, residing abroad: "Being a state organization, we can not comment on the facts connected with the rights of Azerbaijanis in Iran"?

-The representative of the said organization, who made this announcement, is mistaken, as under the charter of the State committee for work with Azerbaijanis, residing abroad, as well as the law on entrance and exit from Azerbaijan, the rights and liberties of Azerbaijanis, living outside the country, must be protected equally with the Azerbaijanis, residing on its territory.

It means that primarily the representatives of the State Committee and other institutions, should have demanded explanations from official Tehran about what happened to our compatriots-the students of the Sahand Technical University.

-So, what do you think is a cause of such a position of the State Committee for work with Azerbaijanis, residing abroad?

-Perhaps, they will further try to explain their actions by the fact that official Teheran has not made any assessment on the said frustrating fact. But this argument is unacceptable, as by being silent about the case with the students of the Sahand Technical University in Tebriz, the state committee violates its own charter.

On the whole, it should be noted that the said department has repeatedly demonstrates its unwillingness to comment on the situation with open violation of the rights of Azerbaijanis. residing in any countries, in particular in numerous cases of murder and neglect of rights of Azerbaijanis in Russia, in case of mass deportation of our compatriots from Georgia. Unfortunately, this list is too long.

-And the last question. Do you think that such attitude towards Azerbaijanis residing in Iran is connected with the mullocratic regime, ruling in this country?

-No doubt that the obvious violations of the rights of Azerbaijanis residing in Iran is because the country is ruled by the mullocratic regime. But it seems to me that all numerous facts of open violence committed by mullocrats against Azerbaijanis, residing in Iran, may evidence the soonest end of this regime.
