Leyla Aliyeva to attend forum of Azerbaijanis in Yekaterinburg - UPDATED

Day.Az reports with reference to information portal justmedia.ru that the Palace of Youth will be attended by Leyla Aliyeva, daughter of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, granddaughter of late president Heydar Aliyev and chairman of the All-Russian foundation named after Heydar Aliyev.

The forum will also be attended by governor of Sverdlovsk oblast Eduard Rossel, Azerbaijan's ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbul oglu, and Azerbaijan's consul general in Saint-Petersburg Gudsi Osmanov.

The forum participants will discuss the development of international socioeconomic and culture relations.

It should be noted that Sverdlovsk oblast accounts from 35,000 to 45,000 Azerbaijanis.

Day.Az reports with reference to ITAR-TASS that the forum on the fifth anniversary of Sverdlovsk oblast public organization "Azerbaijan" will be attended by representatives of Azerbaijani community, famous politicians, national stars, as well as Azerbaijan's ambassador plenipotentiary to Russia Polad Bul-bul oglu.

There is a plan to discuss social and political situation in Russia and Sverdlovsk oblast before forthcoming elections, further development and dynamic strengthening of socioeconomic and national and cultural relations between Middle Ural and Azerbaijan. An appeal of the forum participants to the Sverdlovsk oblast residents will be adopted by results of the forum.

It should be reminded that the leaderships of Sverdlovsk oblast and Azerbaijan signed an agreement on trade and economic, scientific and technical as well as culture cooperation in 2006.

Owing to it, the commodity turnover growth rates neared 148% in 2008. Export includes timber and timber wares, metals, engineering production and import -foodstuffs and raw materials for their production, as well as engineering production.
