Azeri wrestling team faces problem in Kiev

Azerbaijani freestyle wrestling team is about to finish trainings in Kiev, Ukraine. Our team attended the trainings with the national teams of France, Poland, Ukraine, Italy and Kazakhstan, head coach Aslan Agayev stated.

He said that our team is not going to join international tournament to start March 24 in Kiev with full staff, APA reports.

"Though we came to Ukraine with 14 sportsmen, we’ll participate in the competition with 9 or 10 wrestlers. Vugar Gurbanov and Dagestan legionary Novruz Temrezov have come down with flu. I will not allow Olympian champion Namig Abdullayev to the tournament. He is going to join competition in Tashkent in early March," he said.
