IMF office robbed

06 February 2007 [12:19] - TODAY.AZ
Four desktop computer processors were stolen from the International Monetary Fund Office in Baku. The office was probably burglarized on Saturday or Sunday.

"Everything was OK when we left the office on Friday. We saw computer processors stolen on Monday while all other office equipment was ok. Doors and windows were not broken, so it was not a break-in. We only have the keys," the office told APA.

The office representative said the only purpose was to steal information because all data base was saved in these computers.

IMF Office is housed on the third floor of five-storied building of the Finance Ministry, which is always under police control.

Nasimi Police Department inspector, Emin Hasanov, told the APA that they have probed into the problem and collected materials have been forwarded to investigation department to open a criminal case.

Investigation department said a criminal case has been instituted under Article 177 (burglary) of the Criminal Code.
