"Selected Works" of Alisher Navoi published in Azerbaijan

Two dastans (the large volumes of poems) from "Khamsa" – "Farkhad and Shirin" and the "Seven planets" are in the collection, UzA reported.

Historically the interest to the works of Alisher Navoi is great in Azerbaijan. The Azeri poet Muhammad Fuzuli considered Alisher Navoi as his teacher, according to the literary sources.

The report added the several works of the great Uzbek poet were published in Baku in 1926. The dastans "Farkhad and Shirin" and the "Seven planets", which were issued in 1960-1970s in the Azeri language have been used in the preparation of this issue.
