Azerbaijan's ecological problems to be discussed at economic and environmental forum

Azerbaijan's ecological problems will be discussed at the 15th economic and environmental forum of OSCE member states.

Carlos Sanchez de Buado, Spanish temporary representative in OSCE, OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut and OSCE coordinator of economic and environmental activities Bernard Snoy made speech in the first day of the forum, OSCE Baku Office told APA.

The degradation and corrosion of land, economical security environmental restoration mechanisms will be discussed at the first workday of the forum.

The environmental situation in Azerbaijan, especially in Caspian Sea will be the main topic of the discussions.

The leaderships of OSCE missions in Netherlands, Canada, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Algiers, the representatives of UNO, NATO, European Commission and European Union will also participate in the forum.

The representatives of Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources were expected to participate in the forum, but for some reasons they couldn't.
