Order of Red Banner of Labour of Soviet Azerbaijan sold at auction in NYC

The preliminary price of the order was set by $10 000 and as the result of rivalry the order was sold by $ 18 000, APA reports quoting to Nezavisimaya Gazeta.

Some other soviet medals and orders were sold in the auction which is held every year. This auction which is organized by "Baldwin's Auctions LTD," "Dmitry Markov Coins & Medals" and "M& M Numismatics LTD" companies, is the most famous auction held among numismatics.

This year 229 of 237 medals and orders were sold. Numismatics and collectors paid nearly by $1m for medals and orders.

St. Ekaterina order and St. Vladimir order were sold by $80 000.

Stalin order was sold by $67 500. This order was kept in private collections and never sold before.
