Press distribution firms reject proposals on reduce of commissions for papers

Press distribution firms made statement on the appeals of some press bodies about reducing the commissions paid for the sale of newspapers and journals, Yayim Association stated.

The newspapers and journals linked reducing of the commissions paid the sale with rise of prices for the paper and other economic problems. Distribution firms said that they understand economic crisis in the newspapers, but distribution firms also face the same problem.

"They will also understand our position. We suggest that the commissions paid for the sale of newspapers and journals should not be reduced and should be 40 percent. Otherwise, it can cause the suspension of the firms, " the statement says.

The statement was signed by 12 press distribution firms, APA reports.
