Azeri Ambassador to Russia: "Tightening Migration law good for both sides"

15 January 2007 [22:35] - TODAY.AZ
"Some Russian companies evade taxes by employing the migrants cheaply. Tightening the terms of the law 'On Migration' is favorable for both sides," stated Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu.

The ambassador told the APA that analogous violations of law continue for a long time.

"Therefore there is nothing extraordinary and unexpected in Russia's tightening the terms of the law 'On migration.' Of course, it is the first day the law is applied and nothing can be said about the problems to arise. It requires at least 15-20 days making the issue transparent," he said.

The ambassador also said that the Russian government comprehends that they can not do without migrants.

Polad Bulbuloglu underscored that neither official, unofficial bodies, nor Azerbaijani embassy in Russia knows the exact number of migrants. He stressed that anyway, the embassy will do its best to help our compatriots.
