University tuition fee to be set by Tariff Council

"We are discussing the issue with Universities presidents. As from next academic year Tariff Council will set the tuition fee at universities," he told APA.

"We have a number of proposals under discussion with Ministry of Economic Development and other relevant bodies," he added.

When asked whether tuition fees will differ in private or state universities, he replied that no details can be announced beforehand.

The amount of tuition fee is set by university leaderships at present. They are free to increase the tuition fee whenever they like.
