The date of the preliminary trial has not been set yet. Penitentiary Service department Chief Rafiq Ramazanov told APA that Akif Muradverdiyev has some problem with health. But he is in no danger under doctor's control now.
Advocate Rashad Mirmehdizade informed that Akif Muradverdiyev suffered from pancreas, headache, blood pressure and regular unconsciousness.
Akif Muradverdiyev was sentenced to six years in prison by the Grievous Crimes court presided over by Tofiq Pashayev under the Articles 179.3.2 (embezzlement), 308.2(abuse of power), 311(taking bribe) of the Criminal Code.
The investigations under the Articles 28.278(coming to power by force) and 28.220(preparing for mass disorder) are still ongoing.
