President Aliyev attends opening of new establishments in Zabrat

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev today attended the opening of a newly built school in Zabrat settlement on the occasion of the start of new school year.

Education Minister Misir Mardanov addressing the ceremony said 50 teachers will work in the new 1176-student school. He said the school supplied with modern equipment meets high standards, APA reports.

Addressing the audience, President Aliyev said building of new schools has been on focus recently, "Nearly 600 news schools were built in Azerbaijan in the post two years."

He said all the secondary schools in the country will be supplied with computers within 2007-2008. The head of state also noted special state programs are being implemented to achieve progress in all spheres of life.

He said there is a program on development of education too, "All the schools in the country will be ensured to access to the world soon."

The President also attended the opening of the new Treatment-Diagnostics Center in Zabrat and familiarized with the renovated Ankara High School in Narimanov district.
