Azerbaijan judoists won four golden and four bronze medals of the World Cup

World Cup on judo contest held in Sport-Concert Complex named after Heydar Aliyev ended.

The contest was organized in Baku for the first time and about 200 sportsmen from 14 countries took part in it, APA reports.

Four teams represented Azerbaijan in the World Cup and there were not prominent jodoists among them. Three times European Champion Elchin Ismayilov and golden medalist of the latest European Championship Elnur Mammadli stayed beyond the contest.

Movlud Miraliyev got a trauma on backbone and World Championship bronze medalist Nijat Shixalizadeh was disqualified from the contest. World Anti-Doping Agency found prohibited medicine in his blood.

Kifayet Gasimova(57 kg), Ramil Gasimov (66 kg), Elmaddin Ahmedov (73 kg) and Mehman Azizov (81 kg) won the championship.

Other judoists, Sima Huseynova (48 kg), Kamale Huseynzadeh (63 kg), Ravil Guliyev (60 kg) and Zaur Baghirov (100 kg) won bronze medals. Azerbaijan team won the first place with four golden and four bronze medals.
