Border Troops soldiers to be replaced with professional personnel

The State Border Service deputy chief Ilham Mehdiyev told journalists, APA reports.

Mr.Mehdiyev said the State Border Service is cooperating in high level with NATO.

"The State Border Service is taking more active part in this field, and NATO officials highly appreciate the measures implemented. We continue these measures. The Border Troops will be supplied with modern equipment and soldiers will be replaced with professional personnel in near future. We are implementing measures according to relevant programs on this field," the deputy chief said.

Mr.Mehdiyev also said measures are being implemented regarding the protection of the Caspian Sea borders in the frames of both documents signed with NATO and other internationals program.
