World Jews' meeting postponed

The joint meeting of the World Jews Congress and Eurasian Jewish Congress, which was to be held in Baku from May 15 to 17, was postponed.

Member of the Eurasian Jewish Congress, head of the European Jewish community in Azerbaijan Gennadi Zalmanovich, one of the organizers of the meeting told APA about it. He said the meeting was postponed because of president of the World Jews Congress Edward Bronfman's illness.

Edward Bronfman and president of Eurasian Jewish Congress Aleksandr Mashkevich were to attend the congress as well as meet Azerbaijani officials, including President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.
