Three residents of Salyan died because of eating wild fowls

23 March 2006 [08:52] - TODAY.AZ
Three residents of Salyan region died of bird flu because of having eaten wild fowls.

Not observing the hygienic rules, they plucked the wild birds hunted by a fowling-piece and cooked kebab from their meat, APA reports.

Salyan Hygiene and Epidemiology Center told that mass death of domestic birds was not observed in the region so far.

"It shows that it's possible not to contract Bird flu by observing hygiene. The three dead residents didn't observe these rules".

Fowl markets were closed in the region on the eve of Novruz. But the residents still use fowls and eggs.
