President Aliyev congratulates people on Novruz Bayram

The message, in particular, says: "Novruz Bayram is our ancestors' marvelous heritage. From time immemorial, Novruz has been marked in the Azerbaijani lands as a national holiday."

"Throughout the history no one managed to deprive Azerbaijani people of the Novruz Bayram and take it out of our hearts and souls. Azerbaijan people have kept Novruz customs and traditions as an apple of their eyes, developed and brought them to the present time," the message says.

President expressed hope that the 2nd Congress of the world Azerbaijanis would make its valuable contribution to the cause of national solidarity, and be embodied in endeavors and practical deeds for the development of the ideas of Azerbaijanism.

Mr. Aliyev paid tribute to the memory of those who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of our homeland, AzerTAg informs.
