Plan of events to mark Anniversary of Khojaly Genocide prepared

The plan of events to mark the 14th anniversary of Khojaly genocide as ordered by the Head of the President's Administration has been approved.

It implies commemoration ceremonies with laying wreathes at the memorial "Call of the Motherland" in Baku Khatai district and related monuments in the town of Naftalan, visiting the Alley of Martyrs, and holding a press conference for local and foreign media, AzerTAj reports.

Apart from that the Program includes organization - across the country - of memorial evenings, exhibitions, meetings with eye-witnesses of the events, and show of documentary and feature films.

Also, the country's officials, MPs and intelligentsia will be attending the expected ceremonies of handing humanitarian aid to the martyrs' families.

On February 26 at 5:0 p.m. a minute of silence to remember the victims of the tragedy will be observed in the Republic. Commemoration ceremonies will also be held in Embassies and representations of Azerbaijan in foreign countries.
