President Aliyev met with Neftchi FC squad

Having congratulated the FC members and the whole sport community of the country on the victory, the President, in particular, said: "This is a great achievement, a great victory; and a new success of out sportsmen in a prestigious tournament. They mounted the highest step of the podium, and the cup is now in Azerbaijan, in Baku. This is yet another evidence of high level of sport in Azerbaijan, and that its various kinds are experiencing rapid development."

President of FC Neftchi Rovnag Abdullayev thanked the Head of State for supporting development of football in the country and presented him the medal gained. "Mr. President, this victory, the success of our team is a result of your domestic and foreign policy, and your care for sport… Allow me to present this medal to you first, because it is your victory," he said
