Garib Mammadov: "Some municipalities illegally make arrangements on lands of state's disposal"

21 January 2006 [05:17] - TODAY.AZ
The Head of the State Land and Cartography Commitee Garib Mammadov made statements on municipalities' activity and not demarked area in the borderland with Georgia.

As APA reports citing the Head of the State Land and Cartography Committee Garib Mammadov, necessary measures were implemented for preventing such cases: "Some municipalities even make arrangements on lands of neighboring municipalities. Pursuant to the presidential decree issued in 1999, borders of municipalities were fixed and presented to each of them. Such cases mainly emerge because of poor knowledge of some persons heading municipalities".

Also Garib Mammadov told that 30 km area had not demarked in the borderland with Georgia.

G.Mammadov underlined that the problems in the borderline have been removed as a result of the change of the course of floods and rivers: "In fact, this matter has never been a problem. Thus, the coordinates marking the borderland have existed long before. On the other hand, the borderland is demarked by "the tool defining global position".

"The talks on the solution of these issues will be continued with Georgia," - Garib Mammadov said. According to him, some improvements have been achieved in the solution of the problem.
