Date of entrance exams to universities and residencies undergoes change in Azerbaijan

Dates of entrance exams to universities and residency have been changed in Azerbaijan.

Chairperson of the State Students Admission Commission (SSAC) Maleyka Abbaszadeh said at the today’s press conference that in 2014 academic year, the graduates of previous years will take entrance exams in April: “Thus, the graduates of previous years will participate in the contest together with this year’s graduates.”

Abbaszadeh said that the date of entrance exams to residency will be also changed in Azerbaijan: “At present, the 1st and 2nd stages of entrance exams to residency are held within two days. With the consent of the Heath Ministry, the 1st stage of entrance exams are planned to be held in March and documents admission in February. The 2nd stage of entrance exams are planned to be held in summer. The 1st stage of residency exams is held on basic subjects. The basic education ends in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd courses. Therefore, they will not face difficulties in exams in March.”
