
Trading House of Lommel (Belgium) and Bergeijk (Netherlands) cities has opened in Azerbaijan`s capital.
The opening ceremony was attended by mayors of both cities - Peter Vanvelthoven of Lommel and Driek Van De Vondervoort of Bergeijk, as well as Azerbaijan`s cultural and public figures.
Chairman of Bresser Eurasia BV Leon Sweegers was appointed as the head of the Trading House.
Speaking to the event, Sweegers said “by opening the Trading House, our goal is to develop existing cultural and economic links between the countries, create new cooperation spheres, establish useful partnership ties and attract tourists from Belgium and Netherlands to Azerbaijan.
Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Azerbaijan Aryen Uyterlinde and Chairman of Azerbaijan Union of Architects Elbay Gasimzade made speeches and wished successes to the House.
Lommel is one of the developed cities of Belgium and known as energy city. The city also has an ancient history.
Bergeijk is one of the leading cities in the world for technologic issues. Head office of Phillips Company is situated there. Bergeijk is also known as a cultural centre of the country. Many companies acting there support development of museums and art.
