
The Agriculture Ministry of Azerbaijan has developed a strategy for the development of the agricultural sector by 2020, Azerbaijani Deputy Agriculture Minister Bahram Aliyev told journalists on Tuesday.
He said in the coming days a draft strategy will be submitted to the country's Cabinet of Ministers.
The prepared strategy covers four main areas: development of crop sector, development of livestock sector, preservation of land plots and issues of marketing of agricultural products sale.
Aliyev said that earlier the ministry has prepared a draft state program for the development of the agricultural sector for 2013-2020 and submitted it to the Government. Preparation of these documents is envisaged by paragraphs of the concept of agricultural development, approved by the Head of State.
