A meeting dedicated to the Azerbaijan Economy Day was organized by Azerbiajan`s embassy to Germany, Azerbaijan`s Foreign Chamber of Commerce and Dresden Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the city of Dresden.
Opening the event, ambassador Parviz Shahbazov said relationship between the two countries has developed steadily in all sectors of economy. The ambassador noted economy of Azerbaijan developed intensively due to the successful reforms and macro economic stability was ensured in the country. Shahbazov pointed out that the market economy has formed in Azerbaijan, adding the country is a reliable partner. According to him, development of the non-oil sector is the priority of the government of Azerbaijan. He underlined over 100 German companies are working in Azerbaijan.
Executive Director of the Dresden Chamber of Commerce and Industry Volfram Schnelle said in his speech that Azerbaijan is an important country for Germany, adding the country achieved serious successes in development of its economy. He highlighted the increasing interest of German businessmen in Azerbaijan.
Also speaking at the meeting were representative of AZPROMO in Germany Ibrahim Ahmadov, Executive Director of Germany-Azerbaijan Foreign Chamber of Commerce Florian Schroder and others.
