IDEA organizes seminar on International Mobilization Day against Nuclear War

A seminar on the topic “International Mobilization Day against Nuclear War” has today been organized by IDEA Campaign at IDEA Recourse Center based at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Azerbaijan.

Head of the laboratory of the Institute of Radiation Problems of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the “Wind” Public Union, Ph.D. in Chemistry Sciences, Professor Mr. Islam Mustafayev delivered a lecture during the event.

The seminar mainly focused on discussions over waste generation as well as nuclear energy production which have its crucial role in the emergence of negative impact on surrounding environment.
International Mobilization Day against Nuclear War - was announced in the international conference held in Delhi in 1985. In many countries all over the world, series of events on nuclear war environmental and social complications are organized, and the memory of nuclear war victims is commemorated.

It is noteworthy that environmental awareness rising is one of the main activity directions of IDEA Campaign that was launched by the Vice-President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mrs. Leyla Aliyeva, on July 12, 2011.
