Ancient burial site discovered

The Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences has discovered ancient settlements and burial monuments in Salyan region, head of Salyan expedition Arif Mammadov told Trend on Friday.

According to the preliminary information, the burials refer to the ancient era and the early Middle Ages, Mammadov said.

Archaeological research in the area will begin after October 18.
